First American edition, second printing hardcover copy of Dialogue with Death by Arthur Koestler (The Macmillan Company, 1942). Autobiography of Koestler’s time during the Spanish Civil War, and his time spent in prison there. The follow up book to The Spanish Testament. A renowned work of anti-totalitarian activist and author. A hard to find vintage edition in decent shape. Jacket is worn, especially around the edges which are chipped, with small tears and creases. Blemish to bottom left corner of back cover where a sticker was once removed. Boards are straight and clean with bumped corners and softened spine ends. Binding remains fairly strong with hinges intact and all pages being clean and unmarked, though tanned. See photos for condition.
